Alpha Networks partnerships with ContentWise for recommendation engine

25th August 2016, Milan -- ContentWise the personalization, discovery, analytics and metadata expert, today announced that Alpha Networks, an innovative company specialized in back-end Pay-TV services, has selected ContentWise to provide integrated personalization and recommendation solutions into its flagship product, Tucano.  

Tucano from Alpha Networks is a back-end software platform, enabling media companies, network operators and service providers to offer their subscribers Pay-TV content. Providing a comprehensive CRM/CMS back-end, with an out-of-the-box integration with video infrastructure and metadata providers, Tucano enables swift integration with legacy systems. Alongside this, it also includes access portals for system administrators, operators and resellers and provides an open API interface that allows front-end implementations for a customized and enriched user experience.

By integrating the ContentWise solution into the Tucano platform, Alpha Networks customers will be able to accurately profile users, enabling Tucano to effectively personalize the entertainment experience. The ContentWise technology will propose and recommend the most relevant content, activate smart upselling and forecast which content viewers will want to watch next, to allow pre-caching.
